people are just unbelieveable really I think you should go with the whole 'we already told others no kids allowed' You ahve every right to this and as you already said...it is VERY common not to invite children to weddings...crazy

vent on sista!!! just like you said in your post! youll invite who you want!!! if they dont wanna find a sitter then oh well do not come!!! we werent gonna have kids either and still not 100% sure if we will. But its only like 5 so i think we might! when will people realize this is your wedding not theirs and shut the fu@k up??????????????????

its your wedding and u can invite whoever u want..sooo s u c k s for them!!!!!! u shouldnt have to explain yourself to anyone..just explaain if they ask that u can only invite a certain amount of people and u are only inviting a very close relatives kid and thats it!

Well Im sorry your put in the position where you feel you have to do this or that. I am not inviting kids either. I will make one exception for my aunt who is in Pa and my autisic cousin who cannot be left with a babysitter. She missed my brothers wedding because of this. But that is where I draw the line no other kids. I am learning that you cant please everyone. I would tell you that if it is the fact that you will have to pay fo these kids and you dont want to then ok. If you do invite them stick them in the corner and dont worry about it. (jk) Do what feels right. What did FH say about it?

People are really unbelievably rude and have NO class. Has she ever gone out of town before and had to leave her son with a friend or other relative? Well she'll have to do the same. I have uncle and aunt in-laws that I am not inviting to the wedding. They are not my family, they have no class (and I mean one hacks up the most disgusting nastiness at the dinner table), I don't like them and I'm not having them there, end of story! I could careless what people think.

well - i do understand what you are saying and they are not your inlaws, they are your sisters

yes it is true that many people do not invite children, however, ususally if the people are being invited from out of town then children are more likely to be included

i could understand leaving them with a babysitter for a few hours; but possibly not overnight

tell your brother in law that its your wedding and you can only have a certain # and youre not inviting them
why risk the chance of her bringing the kid and upsetting you

I would see about getting a baby sitter for the kids in the hotel maybe...

the only other advice i have on this one is that you will be so busy enjoying your day; you won't even notice if he is there (most likely)

I know that's right. The only children that are invited to my wedding is the four that is in it and that's it.

well, we have about a dozen kids, but they are all of our nieces and nephews and I cant pick and choose - FH has 8 and I have 4

however, is it really worth making a big deal over 2 people? are there others that are an issue as well? if not, 2 people wont make a big difference and save family aggravation
