That is very frustrating. My FMIL seems to have a problem with NY as well... if she got her way we would be moving to Pittsburgh where they are (and where I would never find a job) or to Virginia where her other son lives...

wow I am sorry you are going thru this!! I think you guys will be better off here so regardless. On another note consider moving out of your parents house as soon as possible and as soon as money allows it its always good to live by yourself!!! good luck

As soon as he's got a job I'll be out of her haha...I'm too old to live here anymore its driving me batty.

I'm sorry she's frustrating you! Is she like one of those people that thinks she's always right and her way is always the best? That's what it sounds like. Just don't move; keep it the way it is. Does FH get along with your parents? If so, it probably wouldn't be that bad even if you all had to live together. Because from what I'm getting, if you went there and had to live with her, it probably wouldn't be tooooo much fun.
