Are you planning a ceremony at a church or reception hall? If you are doing it at your RH, they might have factored in travel expenses...but even still, that's too much to pay (unless you're flying them in from out of town)!!

I had a quote that high as well- and my lowest quote was $500 (rabbi though which i think tends to be more). The rabbi we picked was on the lower end but not the cheapest. HTH
