Vent about bank!

I go to check my account today...and there was a $200 service charge deducted from my account!

I called up...they said I was only allowed six internet/phone transfers a month, I had done 20! they charged me $10 each transaction! They nevertold me there was a maximum amount of transfer sthat could be done a month! I am sooo livid!

I just needed to vent!

Do not bank at Astoria Federal Savings!

It's a law in New York - and every single bank will charge you for over 10 transfers/transactions of your savings account - that's why it's a 'savings' account and should not be used as a checking.

I too learned the hard way.
