I'm not really angry, just taking everything as lightly as I can b/c i'm sure things are going to go wrong BUT....i'm annoyed.
We ordered invites and I was in love with them. We sent them out and my mom calls me when she gets hers and goes...You know you can't even write on the response card?? So i'm like WHAT?!?! and apparently, since the material of the cards is like a metallic shiny-type ((Not describing accurately but you get the drift)) it's impossible to write on them with most pens.
Now, i'm getting them back with people writing in big green markers and you can see the lines where they attempted to write on them with all sorts of different pens. One person put tape over it and wrote on that. Another person stuck a return address label on it.....
I know it's not like THAT big of a deal but we paid almost a thousand dollars for these invites and this is kind of embarassing. Do you think I should even bother complaining?? I mean, they already went out. Ugh this is annoying LOL I feel like this would only happen to me!

Awwwww!!! Dont be embarrassed!!! No Biggie!! I can't see anyone getting upset about this - in a way...It will be a silly memory!! I dont have the funds to hire a calligrapher so I have to hand write all of the addresses and I almost bought the same ones (with the metallic sparklyish paper - very pretty btw!) and then realized what I was doing at the last second!!! No Biggie at all - If I got your invite and that happened - it would only make me smile!!!

I'm sorry that happened....as long as they respond is what counts. Who knew that you couldn't write on metallic paper? They can't even write with a ball point pen?

I would not worry to much, it was an oversight…. As long as ur getting responses and u can read what they wrote that who cares!!! I know it is easier said than done and if I were you I would be posting the same exact thing asking for advice!!!

I would prob complain. The whole point of the response card is for people to write on them!!
In the large scale of things its not that big of a deal but I would feel the same way!

my good friends invites were $900---- the response card was a deep dark purple and you couldn't see the responses on them.
I would definitely complain

Im sorry but try and look at it this way. Youll look back on this in 20 years and have a laugh!
Just take it lightly with a smile - oops! Nothing you can do about it now!

I might call just to inform the company that that happened. They may want to consider something like that before they sell to more brides who arent aware. Maybe they will even reimburse you something for your frustration.
I personally dont think its anything to be embarassed over, if I had an RSVP I was returning I wouldnt think twice about

I received an invitation like that and it was hard to write on the response with a pen, but i used a fine-tip sharpie and it worked.
Did someone at a store push these on you? or tell you that there wouldn't be a problem writing on the material? If so, then you have a right to complain. If not, then you have no basis for complaining.
