VENT about my shower

So I dont want to be surprised about my shower I only want to know when and what time my shower is. My mother booked a restaurant which I happen to know about but I have never been there nor do I want to go there until my shower so I can have that element of surprise.
Well my mothers friend who knew my mom booked my shower at this place had her son and daughter in law go and book their sons her grandsons communion at the same restaurant. Not only did they book the same restaurant but they booked it for exactly a month before my shower.
I feel bad because my mom worked so hard and really did her research and here they took her thunder by taking the place. I find it so frustrating. The most annoying part of all of this is that we are inviting a good amount of the same people since her friend will be inviting their mutual friends.
Today my mother brought it up to her and her answer was well it will be a different party I highly doubt that. Same place, same food, and some of the same people. IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME!!!!!

well im sure the place has amazing foood... so your guests will be HAPPPy to go back there


dont worry about it! trust me. i know sooooo many ppl that have their parties at the same few restaurants. no1 says anything negative.

im sorry, but showers ARE more about you and games and gifts...

I'm really sorry that that happened but you CAN'T let these things bother you or you will go nuts.

People will do what they want and as much as you want to control that no one does anything the same you, you can't. You just cannot stress over stuff like this.

Your shower will be completely different and it will be lovely...don't let other people get you down

dont even stress it hun... your shower will be way more fun! lol no but seriously i know where ur comming from i would be pissed too...
