I agree...but then once you get started you want all the extras and they seem so important...even though we know they wont be used again lol

I agree with you. The only thing you mentioned that I am doing is the menus b/c I think its a classy touch. ( and a bird cage for cards b/c my mom made it years ago and I already have it)
