Vent: Bumping your own posts

i agree 100%!!!! or people who post and then 90 minutes later post again all upset that nobody responded. you have to give people a chance to see the damn post before they can respond!! certain people take it VERY personally when their posts are not responded to - like it's some kind of contest or something!!

I guess this is more of what I was trying to say. Its not so much the second post saying 'bump' as the second post saying, 'No one can help me'.

Bumping posts don't bother me at all. I only read things with subject matters that interest me in the first place, or I have something to contribute to .. and will go back to threads that I've originally found interesting even if they have landed on the 2nd page.

I've bumped my own before, esp. if I've posted something late at night and woken up to see noone had responded or read it . Often much busier on the boards during work hours than late evenings..

I don't mind the bumping so much, especially when the boards are really busy.

What gets me crazy is when someone asks a question and if they don't receive an answer fast enough they delete the post and title it Nevermind with one of these guys an hour after the first post.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it extremely irritating when someone bumps their own post like 2 hours after they posted it the first time because no one has responded? If we want to respond we will!

I personally don't mind it...
Threads get lost in the mix sometimes...
I think if you bump it about 20 minutes after you've posted, it's a little extreme.

I would never even think to get annoyed by that. Maybe I am just extremely complacent

I don't care about people doing that, mainly because I don't have the time or energy to search through pages of posts that I missed, so there are a lot of threads that I would not see if noone did that.

I do get a little annoyed when someone bumps something more than twice without getting a response. Then it gets to be a little much.
