VENT! IF ONE MORE PERSON INVITES HIM/HERSELF TO MY WEDDING...

I SWEAR I AM READY TO FLIP OUT!!!!!!!!! I ALREADY HAVE TWO COUPLES WHO INVITED THEMSELVES TO OUR WEDDING (THEIR PARENTS ARE INVITED BUT THEY WEREN'T B/C FH DOESN'T REALLY KNOW THEM) DO PEOPLE HAVE NO CLASS?? HOW DO YOU INVITE YOURSELF TO A WEDDING...IT GETS EVEN BETTER-THEY HAD THEIR PARENTS CALL UP AND ASK IF THEY COULD COME! I'M LIKE ***!!!! LOOOOOSERS!!!!!!!! SORRY FOR THE VENT I AM JUST REALLY PI$$ED THAT PEOPLE WOULD DO THIS....IT'S NOT A MATTER OF THE MONEY, BUT JUST THAT IF YOU DON'T GET AN INVITE THAT MEANS YOU'RE NOT INVITED!! CAN'T THEY TAKE A HINT!!!!!!

People do not seem to understand the point of having a person's name on the envelope. If they are not on it, they are not invited.

so sorry....I swear weddings bring the deamons out in people.

I had one of FH's friends RSVP for 3 people - her, her husband and her girlfriend! The nerve. I called right away to say that wasn't acceptable

what I've learned more than anything throughout this wedding planning is that people are RUDE and CLUELESS. I mean, WHAT NERVE!! How were these people raised??

I'm sorry for what you are going thru!! Thank goodness your day is nearly here, and these unfortunate aspects of your wedding will be a distant memory b/f long!

I made the mistake of putting '& Guest' on my invitations...apparently that means bring another couple with you and your date

WOW Thank god Danielle and I havent experienced that yet...I hope that doesnt happen. I don't know what I would say. We are paying for the wedding by ourselves, so I would probably say sorry we cannot afford to invite more people, or something like that. I dont want to be taken advantage of.

A woman that is in my office told me about a woman that invited herself to her wedding, and asked her if she could sit at a certain table with a certain person. My friend told her that person would be sitting at the table with the bridal party, and this woman asked if she could squeeze in and sit at that table. My friend said NO, and this woman never showed up at the wedding. The nerve of some people.

The only thing that I have experienced so far is people saying, I cannot wait for your wedding....and I feel bad because the people that say this arent invited to my wedding, and I dont know why they would think that they are....We are just aquiantances, not friends.

I'm going through the same thing. I think I may seat them right next to the speakers.

I cannot believe the nerve of people!

Can I ask a question- why can't you say 'no- they can't coem.'?. There is no shame in saying that someone you did not invite cannot come.

We had one family (who I don't even know) respond with their 3 children who were not invited and we do not want them to come. We had to make a decision and decided to tell them that we just could not accomodate their kids. As it turned out, they are not planning to stay for the reception anyway but still- it was so stressful dealing with.

Good idea!!

We had this happen. FH's cousins ignored us at a few parties (literally walked past us when we said hello) so we didn't invite them but invited their parents. The mother told FH's mother that although her children had not received an invitation, don't worry, she would add their names to her response card!!!

A friend of mine warned me that people did this @ her wedding-
She was like 'is this a wedding or a street fair'?
It sucks, people mean well but they just don't use the proper etiquette sometimes.

Aren't you gald you can vent here!
