VENT- Jovan photography

I was married on June 9th and I still do not have my proofs!!! I was originally told that it would take 4-6 weeks. At week 7, I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks because this is a peak period. At week 8, I was told that it would take 9 weeks. Now, at week 10, I'm being put off at least one more week because of the 'peak season.' I told them that I should have been told up front it would take this long. Shouldn't they be used to 'peak periods' and the delays that come along with them and accurately advise brides of this?? Up until now, I was absolutely thrilled with their service, our engagement shots, and all other aspects. Now, I'm just praying that the proofs will be worth the wait. Plus, I bought wallet size pictures to send out with my thank-you cards. I've had the cards written out for a month, but I can't send them.

THat is a mighty long time to wait for some proofs. I hope it all works out for you. Pictures are your memories I would not want anyone messing with mine. Take care and keep us posted

Don't really have any advice here - this sounds wrong. My proofs were ready 10 days after my wedding, which was in June. We were still on our honeymoon! We used a busy, large studio so I can't think of a reason for the delay. Keep us posted!

That's terrible. I am using Jovon for my September wedding and I too have been very pleased with their service. I just called because I had a few other questions and asked them what the norm is for proofs and they said 6-8 weeks, although right now it is taking a little longer because of the season. Thanks for the heads up! Good luck with them. I'm sure everythign willbe fine. They do excellent work as we both know. Who was your photographer(s)? I booked Cesar for photojournalism and John C. for the traditional. John C. did our engagement pics and they came out wonderful! Don't worry, everything will be fine!

Yuck! How frustrating! I got my proofs like 3 weeks after my wedding... I can't imagine what is taking them so long! Just to warn you -- a friend of mine from high school had a similar Jovan experience waiting for the albums that are taking waaayyy longer then they should have. Jovan seems to be very unresponsive after the wedding. The pictures and your album will be gorgeous though, which should make you feel a bit better -- just may take a while!

Thanks, everyone. We used Lynn for the traditional shots and I can't remember the name of the woman we used for the photojournalistic. Our engagement shots with Lynn were unbelievable, but I have to agree that the studio has been quite unresponsive since the wedding. I'll keep you all posted!

I think its unacceptable...someone used ADA on here and got them in one week...I used VIP and got them in 3 weeks!!

call them and INSIST that yours are done immediately!!!
