vent (kinda longish)

vent (kinda longish)

i cant freakin stand it when ppl put in their own opinions of what I should do for MY wedding....

for example, i was out the other night with my FH when one of his friends asked about the limo situation. i told him that we're prob going to have like 17 ppl in the bridal party so we're going to need an 18-20 person limo. why does he have to wince and be like, 'ooohhh u dont wanna do that. that's crazy! that's too big! u should just cut out some ppl. have ur sisters and no friends. ppl would understand.'

steam was going to come out of my freakin ears ladies. i hear crap like this all the time! even from my FMIL (she's the one that said i shouldnt put in my best friend of 24 years because she lives upstate and it would be a 'burden' on her to have to drive down here to be in my wedding...)

i dont get it, if someone tells ME something about their wedding that i wouldnt necessarily do for my wedding, im polite about it! i dont tell them what they should do or that their idea is crazy! unless they ask my opinioin i guess. i just think ppl are rude.

sorry so long! what do u girls think? anyone else having this problem?

People can be VERY rude...I would just say 'Thank you for your opinion, but its my wedding and I think I will do things a little differently.' or something to that effect and just shrug it off.

You know what they say - opinions are like @ssholes...everyone has one, and they all stink!

(Which, BTW, is something I've said to people when they decide to put in their two cents about our wedding)

Just let it go...people can be so irritating about weddings. It's YOUR day and it's what YOU want. I am having my friend that lives in Michigan in my wedding party and I haven't known her for even close to 24 years...we are just very close friends and I want her to be a big part of my special day. I think people try and help when they give their opions not realizing it is SO ANNOYING!

people will put in their 5 cents no matter what u do. dont let it bother u. who cares what they think??? u are doing and will keep doing ur way no matter what. just treat them as background noise, u will sleep better and have less things to stress over. It took me the hard way to realize that.

I try not to listen to people, everyone has their own opnion on what you should do for your wedding!!

I try not to get bothered by what people say, but on saturday I was at a party for my friends dad, and this woman that I hardly knows comes up to me and my FH and says 'congratulations' and then a little while later she said 'are you sure that you want to do this'

- I was ready to tell her to F off!

I thought I was the only one who heard comments like this! I'm glad I'm not alone.

Don't worry, you are definitely not alone. I think every bride has experienced this at lease once during the planning. Happens to me all the time. And its usually the same culpret each time.

I usually get attacked for my 'too late wedding' (which starts at 7pm) and my 'depressing' bridesmaids colors (I am having a black and white wedding).

Get used to it because you still have a year left...

It gets worse as the planning goes on. After a while, you become immune to it.

People are rude and it is very annoying. We had to change the date of our wedding because FH friend called and said if we get married on Yom Kippur (i'm catholic had no idea it was a holiday that day) they can't come or they can come late but then they can't eat or drink blah blah blah so my FH felt bad because he wanted him there and we changed the date so I know how you feel. Now I DO NOT CARE what anyone has to say

ummm black and white are classic, NOT depressing. plus, i means that ur BMs have a good chance at actually wearing their dress again!

People can be SO RUDE. It is unreal. Who are they to tell you how many people to have in your BP?

Re: vent (kinda longish)

I assumed I was the only one having theses issues...my BP is huge (24 not including the FG RB & jr Bm)...I'll admit...my FH said I should take his OWN sis out to cut back on the BP I was so ANGRY...I had to walk away from him. Its really rude and annoying when he makes comments...its even worst when ppl I dont love and care for add their xtra cents!!!

WEDDINGS bring the worst out in ppl for some reason lol

Re: vent (kinda longish)

If someone asks how FH and I can afford the wedding, I tell them FH is allowing me to turn tricks on the corner until the wedding day.

I've had people criticize me for not wearing a WHITE dress (because, you know, this is the 1800s).

I've had people invite themselves INTO MY BRIDAL PARTY. They are now uninvited to the wedding.

I have people ask me EVERY DAY how much X Y or Z costs... and I always respond with 'Why? Are you going to help us pay for it?'

I'm one of those people who has a sarcastic answer for everything, it's coming in handy.
