My sister sends me a text this morning after I drove her dress into the bronx (and said I will pay for alterations after paying half of her dress) that her boyfriend is coming to the wedding. Her boyfriend of a week. I told her 'no' I am not paying for anymore people we have met our minimum and he wasnt invited originally and they have only been dating a week. If she wants to pay then he can come to reception. She says if he cant go then she is not coming.
Mind you I have helped pay this girl rent and food and payments on her couch with my brother last year so she could get her act together. This is part of the reason I am not shelling out anymore money for this 24 year old brat.
She says she will pay but then she is getting her monies worth and she will be in pics with him and she will be walking up the aisle with him and she will be entering the reception with him. Is she kidding me. she says she will give him her plate so she doesnt have to pay. I nicely and calming explained thats not how it works and she insist they wont count.
It seems to be to big of an issue for her I told her to save her money and not come. I am three weeks from my wedding and this is the crap I have to deal with.

Yeah I'd be pissed that is crazy! I'd probably tell me mom to speak to her because i'd flip on her if I did! If she has only been with this guy for a minute he wont know anyone else at the wedding , your sister is going to be busy most of the day with pictures and things it would be awkward for him Im surprised he would even want to go.

Im sorry but if shes gnna act like that, u def do not need her there. I know shes your sister but she sounds like a straight up BRAT.

I'm sorry that's so lame of her. She shouldn't upset you over such stupid crap right before your wedding. I think you're being very fair, if she wants to bring him she can but has to pay for him.
side note: I have a friend who just asked to bring her boyfriend of 2 months. I didn't invite her with a guest, but I said ok. I really don't think this girl has any idea how much it costs to have each person there, and she probably won't even cover one guests cost. I really wish I could just say something directly.

If you give in to her tantrum over this, you are just enabling her to continue this way of demanding her wants and needs.
I would seriously KNOCK out any of my 6 sisters for trying something like this.
I am SOOOOO sorry you are going through this, and for the money you have wasted on her. But I would stand my ground if I were you.
Getting thrown out of your BP should show her that you are DONE and OVER her and her selfish ways
giving in to this demand... well it's only gonna validate her means of getting things. Next time it's your baby shower, christening, vow renewals, Christmas get together, or anniversary party that is in jeopardy of her manipulation.
