VENT - Ordinary

I hate to complain, but doesn't it just drive you crazy when people complain about things to you about weddings and they are things you plan to do at your wedding?

My MOH is on a kick that she wants a very casual beach wedding (she is not yet engaged) and now weddings that are held at a hall are 'ordinary weddings'. We went out last night and she must have said 'ordinary wedding' at least 20 times. I was so insulted, although I really don't think she meant to do it. I felt like saying 'hello, ordinary bride sitting right in front of you is getting married at an ordinary hall is 73 days - DUH'

What makes it worse is that my co -worker is in a wedding in less than a month and complains about everything the bride is doing from the rehearsal dinner to the bon voyage brunch. I say be happy that someone wants to invite you to so many things. If you can't make it decline, but don't bash her plans because they might be the same as the person who sits next to you ALL DAY LONG - DUH....

Ok now I am done....thank you ladies...

YES!!! I have a co-worker who says to me 'Marriage is the leading cause of divorce.' ( ) I did finally say to him, 'No, your fat ass was probably the leading cause of both your divorces' But he STILL says it every day.

OMG-- how RUDE!!! and very inconsiderate of your friend!!!

YES!! I have a co-worker who says at least 1x a month: 'You still have time to change your mind' SHUT UP!

My supervisor (who's a man so I can't expect much less) keeps telling me about the fabulous small beach wedding he & his wife had on L.I. & how they're glad they did it small & not a big blow out. GOOD FOR YOU WHO CARES!

For awhile I was reading every wedding mag printed - he says 'howmany of those can you read? Aren't you bored?' OBVIOUSLY NOT!!

& finally, another co-worker who constantly asks if I'm tired of planning. NO BUT I KNOW YOU'RE TIRED OF WATCHING ME CUZ GOD ONLY KNOWS WHEN YOU'LL GET A MAN.

I work with a girl who just got engaged. She seems to think that if your not having a 50,000 dollar wedding than it just won't be good enough.

I also have to hear almost everyday from clients. 'why do you want to waste so much money' I reply with because thats what WE want.

AHHHHHHHH some people!!

ugh... tell me about it... it's like the person that will tell an Italian joke to me and then say 'no offense' HELLO, I'M OFFENDED! People just don't think!

Also, some people are not happy unless they are complaining... it's their only way to have a conversation sometimes.
