VENT: PRINCESS IN FARMINGDALE**UPDATE**

I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering my bridesmeid dress from there. I called the store and smiply asked about the delivery date of the dresses. I have so many people from out of state and I need to let them know when to come around. They told me may when I asked why they said because there is a delay with the company but thats not true because I ordered my wedding gown and 2 other bridesmaid at another place and they are coming in in 12 weeks then they put the manager on who also decided I was an idiot and cant figure things out. I been annoyed with them since we put down the deposits because once they had the money they became so rude and the owner told me that he tried to make me a deal on a veil when he was going to charge me more then barrons on something i didnt want then marked up the wedding gown I was looking at saying that was 100 off because i got my dresses there. they sized my size 6 sister at 18 and then were going to charge extra when alfred angelo doest charge extra for plus size and never has. Then above all the manager asked about my wedding gown again and veil and when i said i went elsewhere his response what 'Oh oh well I guess then I will take you for ordering your bm dress here' and tossed the receipt at on of the girls.

**** UPDATE****

Manager called back my cell but I was still at my desk working on something and couldn't answer. I called them back a woman answered and I told her my name and that I was calling back and she said oh well and hung up. Called them back and I was ticked and she Hung up again. Called back a third time and amazingly managed to get the manager on the phone and he told me that I would get my dresses in around the time my wedding dress and other BM dress I ordered at another store would come in but ofcourse the manager had an attitude and gave me reason why I should hold off on them coming in ..... I just want my dresses out of there

Ugh. I found my dress there but ordered it elsewhere because they were so rude and pushy. They didn't listen to what I wanted, so I dropped my money elsewhere.

Then they called be about a 'special sale' a few weeks later. No thanks

yeah, unfortunately i know your pain ... i ordered my wedding dress from there and had a horrible experience every single step of the way.

if there's a 'delay' with the manufacturer, can they just cancel the order altogether?

ps: if you do an LIW search, you'll see LOTS of complaints about them (many of which from me)

ETA: every time i saw people in there shopping, i discretely told them how horrible of a place it is and that they should run from there. you should do the same ... it'll make you feel a tiny bit better

oh good thing i read this. i was going to try on my gorgeous maggie sottero there, maybe ill just go try it on, work them really hard, make a mess in the store and then leave and order it somewhere else!

ive had issues with them as well

the manager tried really hard to fix the issue...but it wasn't enough for me

I have a 200 dollar credit just sitting in the store...not looking forward to walking in there and spending it

i actually would rather forfeit it then go in there.

I actually found my original dress in DC, and wanted to order in in NY. I called them to verify that they had the dress so I could order it and my mom could see it. They said yes- well I went, and they didn't have it. I ended up trying one that was similar, and liking it better- but they lied! And then they gave me a price and were super pushy on it, and I said I don't make decisions in under 24 hours! My sister started asking them about BM dresses, and they said- oh, we are closed now. Seriously.
