Vent re: churches that don't allow things to be thrown..

I see so many posts about how churches won't allow you to throw things and so many girls say they're going to anyway.

It makes me so angry....

If you think a rule is stupid you're going to break it anyway?

I mean, come on, it's a CHURCH. God is watching you always but especially there!!

Anyway, it just makes me angry that you want to celebrate the sacrament of marriage but will willingly disobey the requests of your church...

I could understand that the church dosent want to clean up my mess of flowers but thats the only reason. Its not like its a sin and the church bans it for that reason. I am sorry but I am paying the church $700 which to me should include a sweep of some petals after my mass. I plan on throwing petals I am not even going to ask if I am allowed somethings are better left off unsaid. If I am told otherwise before my mass then I will have a talk with my preist and I am sure he will understand as should others at other churches. JMO

I agree to an extent. What I did was go to all 3 churches in a 5 mile radius of my house. Only 1 allowed rose petals to be thrown. That is the one I went with. It didn't hurt that I liked that priest the best also.

thankfully i think my church allows it cause my girlfriend was married there and her flower girl was allowed to throw petals..she just didn't cause she got nervous..lol..she was soo cute though. But i would be really upset if i couldn't!!!

My church asks for no rice. I think we may do the petal thing. This might end up in a poll....BUBBLES or PETALS?!!!!!!!!!!
