vent...rsvps
so I have been getting rsvps back and i love them.my future father in law made us invite 13 couples! YES 13 couples so that he has family at the wedding. he totally disregards that we are paying cash for everything ourselves and that we do not know these people from a hole in the wall...I have seen my future father in law 4 times in my life and i have been with fh for 6 years.
SO fast forward to tonight. i receive an RSVP from one of his couples...rsvp yes with 3 as the number of persons.
i flipped my sh*t
my FH wouldnt know these people if they walked down the street...yet you feel that it is okay to bring a third person in your party to our wedding?
okay vent over.

Re: vent...rsvps
I'd flip...you should call FFIL and tell him he needs to inform his guest that the invitation was for 2 and not 3...and if they can't get a sitter than they can just STAY HOME.Inconsiderate jerks...

Re: vent...rsvps
people really $u c k in so many ways, they think weddings give them authority to do what they want because someone else is paying for it, I feel your pain and I'm sick and tired of it! I don't blame you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: vent...rsvps
Oh I hate that. my MIL keeps calling and asking me to invite people whom we've never met either. It ***** when you're paying for your own wedding, we are too. I just say no, sorry. Now Im just using the excuse that we ran out of invites...

Ugh. . .I am DREADING this. Thank goodness that each guest who has RSVPed has 'behaved' so far. I know that I'm going to wind up opening an RSVP envelope to see that 5 people are on there when I only invited so-and-so plus guest!!!!
