Vent vent vent

so FH is having bachelor party tonite, then tells me some guys from work would also like to have a nite out with him because they can't make it tonite - maybe next week - 3 days before our wedding AND there's an event a few guys are getting together for 2 days before that so we're supposed to schedule our drop-off/final payment visit to reception hall/vendors around that???!!!! is that ridiculous?

I need to take time off from work to do that and pick up my gown etc. next week AND i won't be seeing him until Sat. nite cause he's working Fri nite.

Sit down with your FH and explain to him that you need him around to get some things done with you.

thanks. i don't even think i would 'need' him to get some stuff done with but i would 'like' him to. our apt. is a wreck with all the wedding stuff around and it would be nice to just have his company. He should WANT that? Is it me?

guys see it differently...honestly, i'd give him a list and say i need you to do these things, i can't...i need help. that will trigger their rescue sector of the brain and he'll gladly want to do it...or he could be allowing for the crazy plans b/c he's 'freaking' too and figures if he plans a busy week, he won't be so nervous...yes, guys get nervous.

our friends married last august and the groom was a wreck the night before....we'd NEVER seen him like that...we were sincerely worried there wouldn't be a wedding the next day...b/c he was so jittery...but he got it under control and it went smoothly.

thanks he doesn't seem nervous to me at all. I don't know what i can put him in charge of doing or helping with? He's arranging the transportation and supposingly today he is working on 'his seating' arrangement. Any ideas?

He doesn't need to party with every single guy he knows. I think 2 times is plenty.

What's next from one of the guys? 'Sorry, I can't make the wedding. But let's get dressed up and drink for 5 hours straight the day you get back from the honeymoon.'

i feel your pain... I think it is rude of them to expect 'special' time from your FH in the midst of crunch time for the wedding when they can not make it to his special event in the first place...RUDE!

My FH and I made plans to go to a spa the morning before our wedding to relax... his friend call him and wants him to go play golf that morning.. some info.. i fly to NY the week before the wedding FH can not fly to NY till the night before the rehearsal dinner (so he'll really only be in NY the day before the wedding.) we have stuff to do and already made plans to go have some relaxing time since we wouldnt have seen each other in a week and i am in NY stressing to get things done w/o him... personally his friend knowing this and still asking (and sounded like he was harping on him) to go golfing is rude! we have a wedding the next day and rehearsal that night! we have things to do! i would think it would be common sence not to even ask this question! it makes me kinda mad that he can not even think about what we have to get done but just wants to have FH go play golf! COME ON PEOPLE?

Am i wrong for being bothered by this?

not at all but don't blame FH for it. Does your FH agree with you? If he does not, i'd be pissed but if he realizes its not ideal timing to golf - you're lucky. I know my FH prob does want to go and if he does especially since i did not even get a phone call last nite which is our 'thing' every nite - i'll be pissed. i'm TIRED of doing it all alone and even if there's nothing for him to do, i expect his company!!! he can suffer in silence with me
