vent - why does everyone only ask how my planning is going?

At work, with friends, it doesn't matter -- people seem really hung up on talking about how my wedding planning is going. I am asked by the same people almost daily! My answer is always the same 'I am pretty much done' but it is soooo annoying!

i enjoyed when people asked about the wedding! maybe they think you like it too and that you want them to ask. just tell people you'd rather not talk about the planning and I'd expect they would stop

(i'd ask you how your planning is going but... well... ya know))

That happen for the first year that we were engaged and then is started to go away, but everytime someone sees my ring they start going on about 'how did he ask' 'when is the big day' and its total strangers asking me So Yes it is annoying

hey its better to have people show an interest rather than having nobody care to even ever ask.

I think i have answered this so many times. But id rather have everyone ask then no-one actually caring at all. Who cares if its a conversation filler. Its nice that they ask even if they dont remember.

i hate when people ask... because most times, im at the same point i was the last time they asked.... i feel like, if i have something spectacular that i would like to share, i most certainly would have told without being asked... LOL I think most people just ask out of habit... Its an easy convo starter for them, but it drives me crazy

I get excited when people ask... but they don't ask me on a daily basis... it showed they were interrested and excited... JMO

I know it gets annoying but I don't think people realize that so they just keep asking the same thing over and over again.

I'm actually ok with people asking, I know I'd be asking the same too, it an exciting time and people want to be 'in the know'. It at least shows interest!

99% of the time I don't mind at all, but there's this woman at work who asks me EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!

Really... how much does she think I can accomplish in a 24 hour period? I'm getting tempted to tell her that I've finished EVERYTHING, maybe that will shut her up.

i'm sure everyone has the question they are getting asked repeatedly and annoyed with... i'm getting married on halloween so people keep asking me if i'm having a costume party and suggesting random stupid ideas... i find that annoying...
