vent - work new coworker

So I have a new coworker who is toally nice and has been her for about a month. I really like this person. She used to work for a real wacko who was mean and had like split personalities. Anyway yesterday she asked me to change something that I made a mistake on - I did and then sent an e mail saying sorry for the mistake here is the new version. She tought I meant it biathcy and asked me what my e-mail was all about. But I totally didnt mean it biatchy (I am hardly ever nasty at work, i really try and be as pleasant and cheerful as possiable) I told her I am never biatchy like that at work I really meant that I was sorry for the mistake. I feel like we started off on the wrong foot - and I feel bad, now I feel like I have to watch every little thing that I say - what would you guys do ?

TIA

You did the right thing by explaining to her that it was not meant to be nasty.
She probably still has her guard up do to what she went through with her old boss? Thats my take on it.
