Vent...I thought things were getting better

Vent...I thought things were getting better

Does anyone know someone else who complains about something in their lives but then when you complain about the same thing that they just complained about, they get mad?!?!

My mom does this to me all the time. Shes always complaining that my brother doesnt ever stay home anymore, that he doesnt do anything, etc..hes 16 and thats a hard hard age and I understand that but sometimes its just way too overboard. I know that when I was 16 my mom spoiled me too letting me do a lot of things and I wasnt home often either but I always showed her I cared...hes just into himself. So my mom tells me day in and out how it hurts her that he is like this so just now she comes over to my house and I complained about him basically agreeing with everything she has said and she GOES OFF ON ME! Telling me I was the same way when I was his age, and that I am just trying to hurt her by pushing it in her face that he should care more about her! I so was not doing that at all! Now she is all mad and tells me she will never tell me anything again and now she has one less person to talk to...

It drives me insane..I know that she is still so fragile but everything I say or do is wrong. Its like I cant open my mouth and be a human being with an opinion because if it dares to go against hers...forget about it! I am so stressed right now..plus, I truly do not see where I did anything wrong??

I promise you did nothing wrong, there may be an underlying issue here maybe there is resentment from when you were younger(doing the same as him) but she is using your brother as an example?? I know it is hard when my mom goes off about my sister it is weird because on one hand I love my mother and on the other my sister is MY girl....So when my mom strts to tell me about my sis I just simply say tell her , she might listen.
