Ahhhh! There is nothing like being engaged to a sports guy. It is not a coicidence that we are getting married between fottball and baseball seasons!Sorry he is being a p.i.t.a. (pain in the...)

MY FH is such not a sports guy (Thank God) so maybe I should keep quiet. I still think your FH should put the wedding before a game. I'm sorry but some sports people have to put it into perspective, it's one game and this is your wedding

I understand having FI totally wrapped up in sports. The $300 would be my insentive to kick him in the A$$ to go

Re: venting about pre cana and FH
OMG- I had such the same problem...FH said if he had softball or bowling he wouldn't be going,. to which I said..is your marriage more important...and lucikly for us it was on a night where he had nothing..but he asked not to go TWICE, once for a JETS game and once for a DUCKS game...both of which I said, NO...And I never say no.Just tell him this is important and needs to be done. The football world wont collapse without him for one day.
I know how it feels though, that they act all mad like WE are forcing them....
Hang in there!

Re: venting about pre cana and FH
Uhhh, I cannot stand it when they act like that. You don't want to go and you have to force them to go. Do they really think that you wouldn't rather be doing something else? I would tell my FI if he didn't want to go that he would have to pay the extra money....but that only works for us b/c we don't put our money together. What a pain in the a$$. All my FI does is watch sports and play on his stupid softball league, I can't stand it.

Thanks girls....we went. But he is still mad that I 'made' him go I didnt wanna go either but we had to.
It wasnt so bad. Thank goodness his football team won because I would have never heard the end of it if they lost (his brother is on the same team) and they were giving me grief about it today
