VENTING about the snow

2 vents here... sorry girls...

It took my friend and I 2 hours to go from Mass Pk to Elmhurst and 2 hours home.

I am so mad... Queens Blvd, The Grand Central and the Northern State were NOT even plowed.

The only pkwy that was clean was the southern state.

WHAT WERE THEY DOING ALL DAY????

I know that this wasnt a huge snowstorm or anything but it was really icy!!!
Alternate side parking was not even canceled and they were towing people... COME ON...It makes me even madder that they were towing for the simple fact that they didnt even PLOW! come on they couldnt just cancel alt side... its not like they were going to sweep the streets...

It all makes me so mad!!!

yup, I'm with you on this vent. I couldn't get to class because NORTHERN BOULEVARD was not plowed, that is a main rd! Normally they do a better job of cleaning up than this, I wonder why it's so bad this time?

i know usually i am complaining in the AM that its so bad out and I have to go to work but when I start driving the main roads are all clear..

I think they all took the day off from work today.

LI was no better. My block is a sheet of ice!

I agree with you. I hate the snow. Those are all the parkways I take to work. I hope tomorrow it;s better. I didn't go to work today.

The trains were no better- I left school at 320 and got home after 6 because the LIRR was not running trains on the babylon branch due to a wire down or something like that.
