Venting session...
Sorry girls...I need to vent. My parents have grasiously offered to pay for my wedding. I am soooo grateful. However, my mother did not give any rules at the beginning. So we had a small engagement party and my FH told my FMIL to make a list for the wedding. Now, originally we planned on having about 120 people at the wedding, therefore I picked a small, adoreable place for the reception. My fiance gave me a list of about 80 people. I told my mother this when we were writing out the save-the-date cards. She didn't say anything so I sent them out. Then she realized that she had 80 people to invite also, which brings the invite list to 160. So my mom's FREAKING OUT because she thinks FMIL invited too many people and should now pitch in for the wedding. It has been established the FH parents are giving us money for our future and not paying for the wedding. So now I'm trying to stay within the budget, but my mom keeps telling me to get the little extras that add up that I don't personally think we need. And when I tell her we don't need it she says 'well maybe you should talk to FMIL and ask her to pay for it.' She's driving me crazy because I don't want to seem ungrateful but she keeps saying that she's paying for it and she should be able to invite who she wants. And I say she should have established that in the beginning when I told her how big the list was. AHHHHH!!!! ![]()
