Venting? Stressed? Opinions on these venues..
Some of you may have seen my posts already. I got engaged Jan 30th. My first marriage his second. I wanted to elope, I hate hate hate having all eyes on me and being the center of attention. Here is my list starting tomorrow that we have appointments for - anyone have opinions?East wind - wanted the cottage but doesn't hold enough people
Crest hollow
Windows on the lake and beach club - owned by the same person
Riviera
Ariana waterfalls
Royal palm
The mansion at west Sayville
I called Venetian shores - the girl was snotty so I hung up.
I have been playing phone tag with Lou for an appointment all week at Chateau le mer so I gave up.
My friend knows someone at The woodlands at woodbury but im not sure about that place.
I also have a friend that knows them at Plattdueteche park restaurant in franklin square. They even offered me the beer hall which looks fun.
I have prices for sands atlantic beach - I loved the downstairs room but only holds 155.
Trying to keep it 100 pp with tax & fees. I do not care what month or day or evening or sat sunday. I am open. Any other suggestions of venues would be appreciated!

FH and I have both attended events at east wind. We looked there ourselves, but were only interested in the Estate which was too costly. Also, out on the east end there arnt as many hotels for room blocks and they can be costly or fill up (depending on season).Crest hollow - ive never been there, but I've heard the one downside is that they can have several events going on at once
Windows on the lake- I was there over 10 years ago. I remember it being nice, but I was a teenager so I probably wasnt paying attention to the venue.
The mansion at west sayville - lessings place. They usually have all inclusive packages. I was at West Sayville for a christening recently and the food was very good.
Chateau la mer is really nice. We've been to two weddings there and enjoyed them thoroughly! When we met with Lou, we were actually surprised how affordable the price was becuase the wedding that we had attended was so great. I have pricing if you need. They also let you do a tasting before you book and I think you can bring up to 6 ppl with you (i think). The only reason they didnt make the top three was becuase I didnt love the indoor ceremony space and we are getting married at end of nov, so theres a chance we would have the ceremony inside.

My brother got married at Crest Hallow Country Club - it was beautiful but they did have another wedding going on during their reception and lets say my brother got more than a few wedding crashers - funny stories but not funny that they were let in and drank and ate...The sands at Atlantic Beach was the first place I looked for my wedding - first thing to take into account is that you can actually have the entire place (minus the downstairs room) you get all upstairs both rooms (if it rains one is a ceremony room and the other one is a cocktail into reception room. My mom and I loved the venue but didn't like little things - we wanted an outdoor ceremony which was fine but they didn't offer seating for anyone you have to rent the chairs or benches and keep in mind it is a beach club so everyone who belongs can sit in their cabanas and watch the event. What I loved about the Sands was that they did have an all inclusive package and great pricing for a Friday or a Saturday night and I was looking at peak season June/July. Brianna is wonderful to speak with if you have any questions.
My only other issue with the sands is that if you have out of town guests or guests that need places to stay you don't have many options in the way of hotels. You have the Allegria which is really pricey and two other hotels one is like the Five Towns Inn or something of that nature...
I get your moms point about wanting you to have a wedding and making sure you wouldn't miss out on what every little girl wants but if this isn't something you truly want and you have a different vision and you're the one paying for it you have to do what will make your heart content. At the end of the day she's going to love you either way but if your not one for 'all eyes on you' and you wanted to elope maybe you could invite her and some other immediate relatives and invite them to wherever YOU are choosing to hold your wedding. She shouldn't get to pressure you into an extremely beautiful occasion and make you do something your heart isn't fond of...

check out douglaston manor- Im checking them out this weekend they have varies of menu ranging from 74+
and the Sterling and Ariana Waterfalls has wedding packages for 14K includes everything for 100 ppl!

Check out Chateau Briand. We were deciding between chateau briand and crest hollow bc we wanted an outdoor area for cocktail hour. Chateau briand has a beautiful outside and only your party is out there. We didn't like that you could be sharing the outside with another wedding at crest hollow.

timber point is definitely in your price range for an out of season wedding from the pricing I got last year. I'm not sure if the pricing has gone up since my quote is almost a year old by now

The Mansion at Timber Point is right within your price range. Off peak (Nov.-April) for a Friday night with a larger (150/170) minimum was something like $71pp++ if I recall correctly. I'd definitely check them out. They're very reasonable and the food is delicious. They also do one wedding at a time.

I've only been to crest hollow but I was young and don't really remember the venue. If you're extremely flexible with the time of year, crescent beach club in bayville told me the Friday after thanksgiving is $100 pp.

The best way to get quotes, it by e-mailing venues. We made a list of venues and took some time and just sent a form email we copy and pasted saying the date we were looking for, evening or afternoon, # of people we were willing to guarantee, and days of the week we were open to at the time. Many of them e-mailed me back with quotes... some won't give quotes until you go in and take a tour though which is annoying but it is what it is.I'll FM you my list of quotes, but keep in mind they're from a year ago so they could be $5-$10pp more now. You'll definitely save by going into the winter months or if you're willing to do a Thursday wedding.. even pricier places like Larkfield were offering much less than $100pp for a Thursday night!

Also, one thing I didn't like about places like Crest Hollow was the extremely high number of Sweet 16s and Bar/Bat Miztvahs they do... it's one thing to have another wedding or two happening at the same time, but it's a whole other to have a bunch of pre-teens or teenagers running around, trying to get into your wedding.

Definitely email venues and ask for prices for a rough date. Make a list and the go and visit the less expensive of the venues! That is what I did and it cut a lot of wasting time. I am only seeing venues within my price range so you do not fall in love with a location that will break the bank! I am going to see Chateau Le Mar today, Lou was very difficult to get in touch with, but I may have flipped on the receptionist which moved things along! There pricing seems very reasonable for an on the water location!Mansion at Timber Point gave me an 87pp++ quote for a Friday in October and she was willing to work on the price as well!
East Wind does have an all-inclusive package in the main building which will fit into you budget.
Lessing locations usually have all inclusive options that might interest you.
Windows on the Lake is nice, have not been there in a long time, but I remember the people being nice and they did renovations on it not too long ago.
The Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue also has all inclusive pricing. Just went to a wedding there 2 years ago, tons of food and it was very good! Also the event management there is great, so kind and helpful!!
You may want to take a look at Watermill Caterers as well they have very reasonable pricing and again they just did renovations so it is really nice inside!
Hope this helps!!

YES! I'm biased about watermill because it is my wedding venue. but we are paying exactly what your budget is and I am in love with the renovations and the upcoming renovations. if you would like quotes let me know!

thank you everyone! been busy so far this weekend! Went to The woodlands at woodbury - I love the idea of having the mansion all to myself! got pretty good pricing for the top package! I was amazed and the renovations they will be doing before next year are gorgeous!I went to east winds today, they were very nice accommodating and the price really was right with the all inclusive. Do you think they can bargin? They gave me an awesome price but it doesn't hurt to try to get lower or have something added in right? anyone get that from east winds?
Tomorrow I have crest hollow and chateau le mer. I think I may try timber point with all the suggestions here. I made an appointment at west Sayville but cancelled since I realized the max is 200 and I may have 200 plus a few extras so that's not good.

Loved the east wind. Try looking at the veranda room!!Wasn't a fan of the food at crest hollow or the grounds during the summer (people in their bathing suits and in the pool)
mansion at west sayville. Great outdoor ceremony. Food was great but the venue is small
Riveria I have heard mixed reviews throughout the years but they redid it and I liked it. Very affordable
