Ugh I hate people that do stupid things like that. Like why would you automatically assume you're invited to someone's party, wedding, birthday, etc. Unless you're best friends or really close family.
Uhhh my FH's cousin and his wife, I don't even like these people because they've been rude to me and other issues, but anyway we didn't hear from them for over a year, they ignored Christmas cards, no engagement congrats, no nothing... then the wife's mother died, we go to the wake, and she asks us like, right in front of her mom's casket 'so are you inviting the kids to the wedding?' I was like, 'well, your kids, yea' but we hadn't figured all that out and we're not inviting kids, ESPECIALLY their kids... but how can you say no to someone who's asking you anything under those circumstances!

Okay I wonder if this is happening to anyone else...if so please let me know so I don't feel alone in this insanity.
So my FH calls me and tells me that a family friend found him on facebook and sent him a message saying that she was very excited about the engagement and couldn't wait to come to new york for our wedding.....HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who said you were invited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! W*F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother's friend who's son went to school with my younger brother like 3 years ago actually said to my sister I can't believe she's making us go all the way out to Long Island for this wedding hellooooooooooooo why would they even be invited lolol just unbelievable sometimes haha

This thankfully has not happen to me, but there have been people who invite themselves, so annoying.
That would really annoy me. I am having an issue with my job. I have a staff of ten people. I like them all, but I just can't invite all of them with guests. So, I am thinking of only inviting my boss.

hasn't happend to me (knowck on wood) but I feel your pain of the thought of extra people..our 'intimate' engagement party is now like 82 people

LoL I totally hear you, I had so many people at work saying things like oh I can't wait till your wedding, and even writing down my date in their plannersI mean it kind of makes you feel bad, but sorry it's my money and I already have 200 people on the list.
I just tell everyone, including my parents and soon to be in laws that we all ready have more people on the guest list than what the room holds so I have to see!! If it was up to all of them I'd have a 500 person wedding and the one thing my FH was clear on was he wanted a small one.
this hasnt happened to me since but i can totally understand why you'd be mad.... people just dont think and assume that couples invite everyone theyve ever met to their wedding or they think because they knew one of you like 12 years ago but havent talked to you since that they should be in your bp lolol..... try not to stress out about it
People are extremly pushy when it comes to wedding..my mothers friends are trying to invite themselves...I told them sorry, we are paying for everything and it is just close friends and immediate family..we want a small wedding.
