VENT..Mom is driving me up the wall!!! (long)

First she wants a video(even though I couldn't care less) so she gives me money for it. I book the video and her friend asked me last night if they come to the house to start filming. I told her no..he is going to start filming at the church. My mom had such a fit that the video has to start at the house..no one is going to see how nice the house is..blah blah blah and everyone gets a vidoe that starts at the house but I told her no. I am very camera shy and I wouldn't feel comfortable. But does she care? Nooooooooo.
This morning she starts again about the video. I told her no, I am very low key. So she says what about when the horse and charriot comes to pick you up to go to the chuch (What horse and charriot?) She wants me to go to the church with her and my dad in a horse and charriott. That is not me and she doesn't even care that it makes me very uncomfortable. She is the type of person that would do it anyway because she wants one. AHHHHHHHHH!!! I am about to kill her today!

my mom always drives me up a wall. i have a list of things she is driving me nuts about.

I am too a point where I have to laugh, because if I dont I wind up taking it out on FI and its not his fault. So I just laugh it off and ignore her.

I will say this you will be VERY happy that you have a video after the wedding is all over. Soooo much happens quickly that day and out of your eye sight that without a video you cannot re-live the magic the same way. For instance, my flower girl walked down the aisle and literally took one petal at a time and threw it, then took one more single petal and threw it. Everyone told me how cute it was, but without a video I would never have seen it for myself.
Also, if you have a good video guy (not sure who you are using) you will not notice him/her at all during the day. I don't remember Bill (Wild Rose) around me much at all. I had him start at the house and am glad I did. He captured a lot of very special moments. But not everyone wants the house coverage and I think it is really fair for you to say No to it.
I think you need to sit your mother down and calmly, yes, calmly tell her that you love her and appreciate all of her advice and help and support but your dream wedding and her's are different. You need her to understand that and support your dream wedding right now. I think doing that will help and go along way.
If not employ me rule of wedding planning answer ALL suggestions with 'Oh, we'll see. I am not sure yet' and keep your mouth shut about all plans. It works but can make people feel a tad left out. I used it and I avoided suggestions the whole time.

why dont you remind your mother that the photographer starts at the house and there will be PLENTY of pictures of you at the house that there is no need for a videographer there...
