Just wanted to share that we just booked our venue, The Venetian Yacht Club.... We started looking with not much of a preference of a day of the week or month but figured Thursday in spring would be best only to decide (and love) a date on a Sunday in January 1/18/15 to be exact. A huge stressor checked off the list... Hope everyone else's planning is coming along.

Congrats!!! We LOVED Venetian - it was actually my first choice but it was out of our budget and too far west. How exciting!

Thanks ladies, we started looking with little to no vision in mind but once we found the Venetian we knew it was where we had to have our wedding. Also I never thought I would want to get married in January as I HATE the cold, however with school and honeymoon stuff and then the difference in price it was a no brainer to me : ) Looking forward to all that comes next. How's everyone's planning going?
Winter weddings are SO beautiful in my opinion. I hate the cold too, but the more I plan, the more excited I am about having a winter wedding! Theres something so romantic about being warm and cozy inside when its cold outside. Plus, its so much more enjoyable to go on a warm caribbean honeymoon in the winter than when its already SO hot in the summer =)

Jott1015 the honeymoon factor was part of my arguement. I hate traveling to warm weather when it's warm here. Have you picked colors yet? I haven't really found anything I like yet : ( MrsSparacino2B thanks it's such a huge weight lifted off our shoulders. And bonus my priest who I thought was going to be in Florida will still be on the island so he is able to marry us : )

Totally agree with you!! And I know I want to do a sort of 'Winter Wonderland' theme - lots of white and silver and crystal - I will probably incorporate snowflakes in there somewhere. And originally I was going to do a deep purple for the BM's dresses, but have since changed my mind to black dresses. So it will kind of be a mix between black and white and winter wonderland! I'm so excited! =)
