So im in the process of looking around at different venues, ive seen two so far... floral terrace and the inn at new hyde park... i like both for different reasons and heard both good and some not so good things about both places. Can anyone share their experiences with either of these places? Whether youve had a consultation here or attended a wedding. Any info helps! Thank you all!

Venue confusion
I've never been to either of those venues but from what I've seen they are both beautiful. I was in a similar situation where I loved two completely different venues and couldn't decide between them. We ended up going for a second visit to both and brought both our parents with us to get a fresh eye. When we went to the other place, we were able to see all the flaws and things we really didn't like about it because our parents saw them. The first visit, we were blinded by a lot of the beautiful aspect and didn't see little details we didn't like. Definitely try to take a second set of eyes to each place and decide which is more in keeping with your style.

Venue confusion
I attended a wedding at the inn at new hyde park two years ago and it was amazing! The food was good, the cocktail hour was phenomenal and the staff was really great! I really enjoyed myself as a guest.

My wedding will be at the Inn at New Hyde Park and last year I attended a wedding at Floral Terrace. If you have any specific questions please ask me!

Venue confusion
I visited both placed and loved them as well!
New Hyde park unfortunately wouldn't work for us bc of budget. Floral Terrace was in our top two, and we had a REALLY hard time deciding. Make a list of all the pros and cons of both and then really compare side by side. That's what helped us.

Re: Venue confusion
I sent you FM. I looked at 15 or 16 venues like a mad woman. The first was Floral Terrace and I just kept comparing them to everyone. My top three were FT, Westbury Manor and Larkfield. I just liked the unique vibe of the place, it has 1 wedding at time so they are very attentive to your party. We worked all the upgrades in and they were still reasonably priced compared with the other venues. My one hesitation was there lack of outside space, but my friends and family all agreed that 1 hour of cocktail time outside wasn't that important. They also promised a pass to Westbury Gardens for pictures!
