Venue Details

I haven't had any communication with my hall since May so I'm not sure when I'm supposed to get in touch with them and take care of the menu/food tastings and the linens. When does all this usually take place?

I was wondering the same thing a while back. Some of the girls on here said it can take 3 months before your wedding for them to get in contact with you. And if you're venue works with a particular bakery, you can go and set up an appt with the bakery for your tastings directly.

To be on the safe side, you can email your bm for an exact time frame. :)

My venue said that 2 months in advance will be our tasting/menu selection. Other than that, they gave me their email address and said contact them with any questions!

Like the other brides, I believe they'll start contacting you several weeks before the big day, I'd say around the 3 month range. We've had questions that have come up here and there and had no problem reaching our venue. Shoot them an email/call, I'm sure they'll put you at ease

We're getting married this weekend and we did our final menu and napkin choices the third week in February. We did our tasting towards the end of January.

I email my BM often, because I'm crazy and have 2145321540645 questions. She told me 2 months before she'll contact me to set up an appt work out all the details, menu, schedule rehearsal, etc.
