I just looked at The Watermill in Smithtown. I really liked it and the price was right. I would love some feedback as to the venue. Could you hear the noise from the highway in the outside cocktail area? How was the food? Was it an issue having another wedding at the same time? Please HELP!

There is a showcacse there on Thursday. I am partial bc I am booked with them. I feel their prices are spectacular. The place is gorgeous. My wedding is at one and there is another party starting at 12. They try to make it so nothing interferes with each other.

I went to a wedding there last winter....CH was inside, so not sure about the noise...but the CH was awsome and food was really good.

I'm booked w/ them as well We're not using the outdoor area (specifically for the ceremony) because of the noise factor - we've been there a few times, and you can hear the cars driving by. It's nothing too crazy because they have music playing in the background - but we also fell in love w/ their Carnegie (Chapel) room so we ended up booking w/ them. The food that we have tried to date has been delicious and I've heard wonderful things.

I've been to two weddings there, both with the outdoor cocktail hour which was my favorite part! The food was terrific and tons of it for the cockatil hour and there was absoltely no noise from the road, I didnt even realized it was on the road until you mentioned it. The cocktail hour was so nice!

I went to a wedding there and the only thing I did not like was the fact that the other wedding was like right down the hall. When you are waiting upstairs you can hear their DJ and the party going. I didn't know what people were attending which wedding either.
I heard the outside cocktail hour is so nice, but the bride decided to have it indoors instead bc it was sweltering on their date in july. I am in another wedding there in May hope it's outside thist ime!!

A friend had her wedding there 4 years ago. While another friend went to the bathroom, she heard a song she liked in the other wedding and walked right in and danced to it...even got on the other wedding's video!
We joke around about it still...HOWEVER, the wedding was awesome. I know the CH was outside, but with everyone mingling and talking and the music playing, i dont remember hearing the cars. We were in the downstairs room and didn't hear anything coming from the other room until you went to the bathroom.
