Hi all! i neede some help. i have looked at a bunch of venues and have narrowed it down to westbury manor or thatched cottage. FH wants to look at the metropolitan and Atlantis in Riverhead before we make a final decision. i wanted to know if you guys have eveer been to a wedding at these places oe if you have visited from as potential venues. i havent veen to either yet but i wanted to know how they are and the price for a september 2015 wedding. would you guys have any ideas about this? please let me know. it would help me so much! thanks ladies!!

I've been to The Metropolitan for a wedding, and it was elegant. I wasn't thrilled with the split set up (some guests were on a balcony). But the food was good. We're going there on June 23rd to check it out ourselves. Not a clue about cost, though. I don't like going somewhere and not knowing a ballpark figure.

Friends of ours went to a wedding at Atlantis and said it was very unique and beautiful and the food was good. There were a lot of steps and the older guests were complaining because they were having trouble walking around with a lot if steps.

We looked at Atlantis as a potential venue and it's so beautiful. But even for a Thursday night in July, it was a little bit pricey.

I'm booked at Thatched Cottage. My quotes are outdated since I booked in April 2012, but all of my interactions and experiences with them have been amazing! You can't beat the quality and amount of food you get, especially during cocktail hour! Other brides on the boards have mentioned how great the cocktail hour is.
