I've made our first appointments at the following places for this weekend. Was hoping I could be better prepared on what to expect. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts (pros & cons) on the venues as well as any quotes you are willing to share.
Fox Hollow - Garden Terrace & Somerley Bourne Mansion Glen Cove Mansion Village Club Lake Success Village Club Sands Point De Seversky Mansion
We want to plan fast, so 2014/Spring 2015 would be our ideal timing for 150-175 people
Thanks a million! :) d

De seversky is beautiful, but based on your guest list i think this place is way too small. It is kinda cramped and I quoted around $170ish before tax and service charge with my FH's NYIT alumni discount..The village club at lake success is brand new and is gorgeous, but I heard prices are very high now because it is so new, not sure how high though.. Also important to keep in mind, Bourne and de seversky charge site fees so just be aware of that. I believe de seversky was a couple thousand, not sure about bourne.
Fox hollow is great, the price is probably on the lower end compared to the rest on your list (not sure about sands point or the glen cove mansion), but they are 2 weddings at the time. As far as I know, all of the other places on your list are 1 wedding at a time

Bourne is soooo expensive. Like 175$ per person and a 4-5k site fee. Fox hollow quoted me like 67$ ++ for the garden room on a Sunday night

Re: Venue Help
if you are willing to get married in the off season (jan-march).. bourne mansion is MUCH more reasonable!

If you are getting married in a short time frame you might get a discount. Bourne had a special and price was $149pp for dates this spring/summer. There is a site fee and 175 person min. Glen Cove mansion is reasonable priced (for a mansion) and you can customize your menu to save money. DeSeversky can only accommodate 144 people for their traditional style wedding. If you don't mind European style, then you should strongly consider this venue. The Royalton is also nice, but pricey. I have a very short engagement, so if you have any questions FM me.

I'm getting married at The Royalton! Based on the other venues that you like I would definitely check it out too!

You should look at the Woodlands! That's where we're getting married. Very similar to the venues on your list.
