Hey ladies! I just recently got engaged in April yay! We're starting to begin our search for our perfect venue. We are hoping for October 2015. (Saturday night)
I was hoping you could recommend or give some reviews about venues you loved. Some of our requests/requirements it must be able to hold at least 200-250 people. We would prefer to be an exclusive venue, I don't think I would like another wedding going on at the same time (just adds more anxiety). Finally it must have good food since that is the only request from the FH.
I greatly appreciate any help and advice.
Thanks!!!!

The milleridge cottage- we had a 225 guest wedding and only wanted a 1 wedding at a time venue. HUGE dance floor and beautiful hardwood floors- good luck!

Village Club of Lake Success and SandCastle were our top contenders. Both could accommodate that many guests, are one wedding at a time and are known/reputable for having amazing food. Good luck with your search!

While we didn't go with them, I totally second this! They are super accommodating, well priced and I have heard nothing but great things from everyone who has booked there!

The Hamlet CC in Commack. Culinary menu by an executive chef. Holds up to 350. Beautiful grounds. My FH is a chef and was extremely particular with picking our venue(he wanted great food) it is one wedding at a time too. The manager I booked with was Nicole. Courtney is great too. You can also try sand castle or lands end.

Definitely! I'm having 250 minimum, so Bridgeview is gorgeous and able to accommodate a large party. Every single person that I'm telling that I'm getting married there raves about the food (including random vendors who I haven't booked-- so it must be good!). Not sure where you're located, but we live in the city, so we love that it's only 40 mins drive from our apartment and accessible by walking to the LIRR. We didn't want a venue out in Suffolk because a lot of our guests are coming from the city or other areas.

Venetian Yacht Club, Bridgeview Yacht Club, East Wind, Harbor Club at Prime, Thatched Cottage (now under 51% ownership of one of the Scotto Brothers), Fox Hollow (if you're willing to have one other wedding in the building--give it a shot, I wanted 1 wedding at a time too and the room you'd fit in (garden terrace) is so private)
Use the venue finder on this website- the prices aren't inaccurate, but you can search for venues based on # of events at a time.

We are having our wedding at The Irish Coffee Pub. I believe they can hold up to 225 people, if you have more than 120 you get the whole floor; we are only having 80ppl and had to have our wedding on a Fri or Sun to get the whole floor.
The outside looks like an old European Inn, which I love! I will say, it is in the most random spot (on Carleton Ave in East Islip), but we ate at the restaurant there and it is delicious. We've heard nothing but great things about events held there and the venue is very accommodating. They are a restaurant that does catering; we like the idea of having a place to go to celebrate our anniversary the following years.
Their prices are going up next year, I do know that (For their wedding package, It'll be $105pp plus tax and admin fee for 2015. We are getting the 2014 rate of $95pp plus tax and admin fee). Irish Coffee Pub also runs the Bellport Country Club and they cater The Vineyards as well, I believe.
I absolutely loved the way Three Village Inn and Snapper Inn looked, but we liked Irish Coffee Pub more for the amount of things you get in the package.
