I just got engaged last weekend! :) I spent this week doing some online research and found a few reception halls I thought were a good fit, but wanted some other opinions before I take a trip to visit them.
Bellport Country Club Floral Terrace The Woodlands
I will have a somewhat large amount of guests, inviting 300, expecting around 240?? We are hoping for a winter '13 wedding at a reasonably priced place.
Any thoughts on the above places or new suggestions would be a great help!
Thanks!!!

Re: Venue help/suggestions please!!
You will get SO MUCH for your money with Floral Terrace. Its so unique so different,,, truly a hidden gem. My guests are still talking about my wedding!!!! i HIGHLY reccommend going there and speaking to Frank-- you wont be disappointed. We only looked at two RH's and booked FT even though the other RH was cheaper pp you just get a lot for your money at FT.

I looked at The Woodlands and the place is beautiful...I just think it might be a little crowded for the amount of guests you are having. And yay...another Winter 13 bride!!!
And congrats on your engagement!!

Thats great!! I am going to book an appointment there next week. How many people do you think it would comfortably hold? Is the dance floor a decent size?? :)

Floral Terrace has a big ballroom and an elevated dance floor. Good luck in your search.

Re: Venue help/suggestions please!!
floral terrace is stunning. It wasnt the look and feel I wanted for my wedding, but I wasn't disappointed. You get soo much for the money, i hear the service and food is amazing.
bellport country club was very nice, but to me, it had a very nautical look to it and no uplighting and those are the only reasons i didnt look into it further.
I've heard only good things about woodlands, but have never been there myself
All 3 seem like really beautiful halls to look in to though!
