My fiance and I are in the mist of looking for venues for our wedding, which we are hoping to have this year in late December or early January (I know, not a lot of time!). Before we set out at looking at venues and whatnot, we were hoping to get an idea of what we should expect regarding price quotes- what's on average. We are hoping to be close to the Nassau/Queens border, as well as any venues in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, etc. Will probably be about 100 guests, give or take, and we are open to date other than Saturdays.
If anyone has any venue price quotes that they are willing to share, we would greatly appreciate it!

Any places in particular? I looked at Water's Edge in LIC, the Roosevelt Hotel in the city and what feels like every place in Nassau not on the water. And a few places in New Rochelle, all in that time frame.

I heard Water's edge is awesome, the best view. What did you think of it? Have you gone to see Douglaston Manor? I think that is one of the places we are most interested in. If you have any info, on any place really, we would greatly appreciate it. New Rochelle would be great too. We just want somewhere that is convenient for most of our guests (most will be coming from Queens, Manhattan, Bronx). Thank you!

Floral Terrace is on the Queens/Nassau border and we loved it when we went to see it.I think they were like $130/$140 per person but that includes everything...seafood, viennese hour and they dont charge 20% service like Sand Castle doesn't either because they are owned by same people. You could probably get even lower if you omit some things but that price includes tax. And again no 20% service charge which saves you thousands!!

Swan Club!!!!!!! For Nov-Dec it's $75pp for a Saturday night. Jan-March $65pp for a Saturday night

If you would go into the Bronx, Marina Del Rey was beautiful and on the water, it's not far from queens, literally right over the Throggs Neck Bridge and I was quoted 90pp for a Sunday in May. If you're looking for Saturday it might be more expensive but I'm sure it's not too much more especially in winter months.

Just thought of this and it's completely unrelated to your question, but......you'll want to ask to see pics of each venue's Christmas decorations before you book. I looked at one place that I liked and when they showed me pictures of their Santa's workshop on steroids holiday decor I was horrified!

I got an amazing deal at the Sand Castle (in Franklin Square). They offer great pricing for days before holidays/ day of holidays that fall during the week. I am getting married Thanksgiving Eve. FM if you would like a quote.
