Venue quotes

I posted this on BHB but didn't get too many responses: Maybe I will have better luck here

Just started looking at venues. I guess I didn't realize how far in advance people start planning. Our date isn't set in stone so hopefully that will help with availability. Can anyone send me quotes for some of these venues? I would like to know what to expect before going to see them (and avoid seeing any that are out of my price range). We wanted to check out:

Crestwood Manor
Woodbury CC
Woodlands
Thatched Cottage
Westbury Manor
Watermill

Any other suggestions for venues that don't have high minimums would be great too!

Watermill was our 2nd choice it is beautiful but has a decent minimum 100 I believe. Westbury Manor is also very pretty but my personal experience the bm was kinda pushy. How many people are you looking to have? Some other smaller venue locations are smithtown landing and coral house is very reasonable and has a smaller room. Are you looking for anything else specific?

Thanks, we are probably looking at inviting around 100. I prob won't feel comfortable guaranteeing over 75 though. Does that sound like a reasonable number to expect for 'no' rsvp's?

They usually say that about 15% say no so if you invited 100 figure about 85 people. Its just difficult because a lot of Venues want you to guarantee
100 people and if you want a weekend evening they have an even higher min. My friend only had about 80 ppl last year at allegria but its really peicwy and is still doing construction.

I have a quote for Thatched Cottage, but it's from 2011 when we booked & I know they went up in price since then... so I don't think that would help very much.
You're best bet would to ask on the 2014 brides forum, as their quotes would be more up to date.

Watermill has smaller rooms if you're only looking to have 75 people, it just wont be one of the big ballrooms. Totally beautiful place with fantastic food! Will FM you the quote.
