Venue Searching!

I'm recently engaged (only a few weeks) and new to the forum! I enjoy reading everyone's posts so far. We are going to look at our first venue tomorrow. I'm so excited but nervous too so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your engagement!! Where are you going to look? We saw about 10 places before booking on Sunday at Jericho Terrace. I guess a good tip would be know where you want to be price wise & you can always try to negotiate (even after u leave). Don't fall into the 'book soon or he'll lose the date' it's just a date, def sleep on all decisions!

Thanks for the help we are actually looking in two different states because my fiance is from another state so this week are those venues. I will be back in NY next week to start looking there. I definitely want to see some of the Lessings venues, Riviera, and Lombardi's on the Sound.

What two states are you looking in? I would recommend the Fox Hollow. I have a whole bunch of quotes if you want them.

I have quotes too if you need. Im from LI living in NJ (FH was from here) and so far planning has been ok but I def foresee the back & forth being a pain in the a**

I have: Jericho Terrace, Woodbury CC, Cresthallow, Swan Club, an old Fox Hollow quote (its def off) old Chateau briand quote (its def off too) Milleridge, East Wind (all inclusive in North/South Hampton room & Carlyle at the palace. Let me know which ones you would like & ill send you a message

Also if possible the East Wind my sister said she looked at it online and it's gorgeous. I looked too and I love that theres pictures by the water.

I 10000% recommend East Wind in The Estate Building! Completely seculded. Huge cocktail area, lots of beautiful grounds, hotel on site and high ceilings/large dance floor
