Venue-- Past Sunday, we went to check out the Swan Club and Crest Hollow Country Club. (Orig. we were supposed to check out The Miller Place Inn and Surf Club, but they were just too far)
We liked both, but FH likes Crest Hollow better. He really wants our wedding ceremony to be outside, in a pretty garden. We plan to do tasting there and also check out a place called Westbury Manor. Any of you been there? If so, how do you like or dislike it?
Ring-- Wedding band to match my asscher cut engagement ring. I like it simply and clean. Can you look at my ring and make recommendations?
Color-- Also, our wedding will be in the garden in Spring. Do you have any color scheme suggestions? Light Blue and yellow? or are they too baby shower like colors??
i am a swan club bride and if you are looking for a spring, outside garden wedding - you really cant beat swan club. they pride themselves on their gardens - 7 ACRES of gardens. Westbusy Manor is beautiful - we looked there also but the property is not nearly as big and it is about 30 more pp. I havent been to CH so I cant compare. Look at the swan club website to see spring pics. The tulip gardens are to die for!

Crest Hollow is absolutely beautiful. I've been to Westbury Manor for a few things, the property is pretty, personally i dont think their food is all that great though.
As far as color scheme, you can do light blue, yellow, pink, lavendar, green anything you like really. I think whatever you choose will look great

Spring Color: If my wedding were in the spring, I would have done hot pink to match my hot pink peonies!

Crest Hollow is nice (FH works there and can vouch that the food is excellent)
We looked into them, but got a better deal at Watermill and even FH liked the grounds better at Watermill.
Swan club also had beautiful cocktail hour grounds. We went to an e-party last Sept. and it was beautiful.
If you want an outdoor cocktail hour- lots of places do them.

As for your ring. You cant go wrong with a channel set band. It will defitely match your ring and it is very classic and simple.

KarinAmanda, I've been to Swan club last sat. I thought it was very pretty. I would do it for 100 ppl. wedding myself, but FH wants an outdoor ceremony. I think that was the only hold back on his part. We are still considering this place.

I've been to weddings at Crest Hollow and Swan Club. If you are looking for the nicer garden, I would choose the Swan Club. There are a lot more flowers, it's very colorful and beautiful outside. The Crest Hollow definitely has a very nice outdoor area and garden to get married in, but from what I remember (and this was 5 years ago, so it could have changed since then!), it didn't have as much or seem as full as the Swan Club. HTH!

ChristineAaron08, where is watermill? If it's close, I may check it out. :P Why not get marry at Crest Hollow? Don't they give you employee discount or something?
