Venues for Bridal Shower

Venues for Bridal Shower

Since my sister is in Florida, she asked if I could research halls or venues where we could have my bridal shower. We are looking for something in the Massapequa/Seaford/Amityville area. We are looking for something under $500. Anyone have any ideas other than restaurants?

How many people?

About 35

$500 / 35 people = $14.29 per person.

Hmm, the only place I can think of is the Olive Garden. They have a price of $13.955 per person.

I was looking for something other than a restaurant. Like a hall or something. But I just got off the phone with my sis and told her it might be more 'cost effective' to go to a restaurant like the olive garden. But I want to weigh all my options.

hMMM..well have you looked into Knights of Columbus Halls? They are usually inexpensive.

I was also going to suggest Knight of Columbus. But also keep in mind that even though it might be a bit cheaper, you still have to consider food, setting up everything, cleaning afterwards etc and whatever the amount of $$ you might be saving, may not outweigh all the other extra work. You can also have it at a friend's backyard and set up everything nicely. This might save you even more $$$.

I had mine at Hemingway's in Wantagh; we had about 35 people or so.

I know there is a VFW hall behind the Massapequa train station that they have communions, baptisms, etc. at. Have no idea on cost, but could be worth investigating.

Is there a backyard you can use? You can have an awesome brunch catered for that price!

Re: Venues for Bridal Shower

My mom offered her house, but she will just be coming back from vacation. My sister and I thought it best to hold it somewhere else instead of asking my mom to do so much right after she comes back. All my bridesmaids live in apartments, so there are no other backyards I can think of. I was thinking of KOC halls or something along the lines, but I was hoping someone on here would know any info. Thanks for the help guys!!

Re: Venues for Bridal Shower

i had a problem trying to find a place for my sisters shower. i live in an apartment and her other bridesmaids live in NJ and upstate.. our parents are in PA.. so instead I'm having it at a friend of mines house. (this sunday.. ahh! )

It might be a little weird, but they have a nice house and they were willing to donate it.. saved me tons of money so i guess i cant complain.
