Does anyone have any ideas to have a wedding for about 150 - 175 people, on a budget of $30,000 for the whole wedding cost?

The Coral House in Baldwin is supposedly very affordable.

Re: Venues on a Budget
that is my budget. We are going with east wind its a little expensive but I plan on cutting back with other things and doing a lot of DIY. I am allergic to flowers so that helps save a pretty penny!!

Check out: - Westbury Manor - Fox Hollow - Swan Club - Chateau la Mer - Watermill - Chateau Briand - Douglaston Manor - Coral House
Also consider having the wedding on a Sat or Sun afternoon or a Thursday night to save money.

I was quoted $96 pp on a Friday night in October. So this is definitively in your budget. If you wanted the platinum package it was an extra $20 pp.

I would go check out a bunch of places and NEGOTIATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were able to drop our pp by $20 just by taking off a carving station and an upgraded entree.

Woodbury Country Club
Also consider the time of year you want to have your wedding. Off peak months tend to be a lot less and can save you big $$. The time of day as well as the day also makes a significant difference in price. I believe morning weddings tend to be a lot cheaper, as does Thursday and Sunday weddings.

Their prices have really gone up! We booked in 08 and it was $75pp for a Friday night in July!
