Vera Wang rings

Vera Wang rings

My engagement ring is a beautiful Vera Wang purchased from Zales. FH got the Lifetime Diamond servicing policy along with the ring. I know with the Veras, Zales actually sends the ring out to Vera Wang (jewelry) for cleaning and inspection. (Ensuring all the stones are secure, and the ring is made all shiny again.)

Does anyone know how long I'll be without the ring, once they send it out? Has anyone had this done already? (They recommend every 6 months.) thanks!

I don't have a Vera Wang ring but mines is also from Zales and I have the lifetime diamond guarantee. It has to be inspected every 6 months and get signed off that you had the inspection in order for the guarantee to be relevant. Im am not sure if it is did with a VW ring. As far as them sending it away, I don't know about that. With my ring they clean and inspect it in store and it only takes a few minutes. I would hate to be with out my ring for a certain period of time every 6 months.

I would not suggest sending out your ring.
All I think of is the advise never let your engagement ring out of your sight when getting it cleaned.

Also, I would not want to be without my ring for 2-7 days every 6 months. I don't even want FH to take my ring to get cleaned because I don't want to be without it for one day.

My ring is a Vera Wang from Zales as well. I sent it to have sizing beads installed and for the bi-yearly inspection. It was gone for 1 week...I've had no problems with it. You have to do the bi-monthly inspections if you want your warranty to be valid.

My ring isn't from Zales but I just brought it in to be serviced (stone got loose from getting my hand stuck in a drawer this weekend lol) anyway, I won't be getting it back until June 7th. :( not sure if that helps you at all to gauge the time. Where my ring is from, they do cleaning and polishing on site but being that it is a repair they have to send it out to their repair facility. I think it's worth it though, I am sure your ring will come back looking brand new. You don't realize how much dirt and dust can accumulate until you get it cleaned and polished lol.
