Very close to a HUGE check

So FH, my mom, and I all went to see two RHs today!!! This makes #s 5 and 6 for me....

I think we really really really might go with #6!!!

They are under construction right now (which makes me nervous a bit, but also makes it that much more exciting!!) They are redoing the entire thing and the projected stuff looks great. The frames are up so we were able to see the sizes of the rooms and layout and everything... And bc of the construction, they weren't really booking a lot last year for this year. They are opening on May 1st for a 240 person wedding, (so I think we'll be good for October), but want to open sooner for a Grand Opening (with tasting) even before then!!!

We spoke with the chef, which I think is cool, and it's a very cool location in Jersey!! Kind of in a predominantly residential area!!!

And they have 3 Saturday dates in Oct and one is 10/02!!!!

We already have a call into the church to check with them, but I have a strong feeling that this is it!!!!!!!

be very, very careful though-kittygags (an 09 bride) was in a similar situation over here-the rh was supposed to open way, way before her wedding, and didn't, and dragged her along-she had to change rhs the week of her wedding!

If you do book here just make sure that they tell you what happens just 'in case' the place isn't ready by your wedding date. You don't want to get stuck in a similar situation as Allegra Hotel brides.
Make sure you get everything in writing.

Just make sure to get EVERYTHING in writting including that if they do not open in time or the final layout is NOT what they are promising now you will get every dime back.

There have been horror stories about girls booked with places while still under construction. I don't mean this to scare you out of it. I mean it just as protection for you!

Thank you so much for the advice. i'm not scared bc I know that this is a very big possibility!!!! As I was trying to sleep last night, I was thinking about what would happen 'if.....'

Obviously, I have more work to do with this, but I'm very excited to be this close to a decision!!! (There was one other place that I loved!!!)
