Very confused about when to send invites!!!

I am getting married in late June and was planning on ordering my invites now and sending them out end of March with an RSVP of 1 month before the big day.

But my co-workers today freaked out saying I should send them out now and set up for an RSVP for March. They said this way I would have time to get everything organized with the catering hall.

WHO'S RIGHT???

Send them 3 months before - around mid-end march.

i got married in august and sent them mid may (2 1/2 months).

Most halls don't have you tell them a final count until a week before hand (ours was the wednesday before the wedding).
