VERY DEPRESSED

I got a haircut and I HATE it. I wanted choppy layers and I feel like I look like Pat Benetar circa 1983. I cant even get it back into a pony b/c the front is too short.

Aww- It will grow out. Also, when you blow it out yourself it will probably be less volume and will be longer. Im sure it looks cute! Show us a pic

Its terrible, I dont eevn want photographic evidence. I flat ironed it and it looked worse, so now I've washed it again and I'll see if its passable. UCK.

i'm always sad when i get a hair cut.. even when i like it..lol.
I'm sure you look great.. sometimes it takes time to adjust to a new do! Maybe in a few days it'll grow on you! At least you have plenty of time before your big day to let it grow back in!!! Try and smile girl

And to make matters worse I'm allergic to everything in the world ever, and she put something antifrizz on the hair and I'm already breaking out!! What a f*cking awful day!

I never like my hair when i first come home. They blow it straight from above and get so much volume in it that it looks short.

Yeah- see what happens when you do it yourself. Either way, it WILL grow back.

I have had some pretty bad haircuts in my life. Especially the one in 4th grade that prevented me from stepping foot in a salon for a haircut to 11 years!!!! Can we say muullleeett!!!

sounds like you need a drink!! you poor thing i hate when stuff like that happens!! But remember it always seems worse than it is!!! Maybe some ice cream would help?? with a side of vodka?? lol. Sorry.. bad attempt at trying to make ya smile

oh no.. that's almost worse than when i decided to give myself a haircut.. and lets just say it didn't turn out so great..lmaooo! They wound up having to cut my hair up to my ears in order to fix it.. and i was a big girl.. my face was real round (to match the rest of me of course) and it did not look good. I feel like if ure hair is that short u have to look like twiggy to pull it off..lol. Never again!!!

that's true.. our hair grows faster than we realize i think. I guess you notice it more when you love your cut though.. cause a week later it always looks limp and crappy again.. and i'm always like W T F ...lolol. So don't worry girl.. you'll be feeling better about it before you know it!! We've all had cuts we hate.. but i bet people will be complimenting you all day!!

I always feel like this after a haircut! They always blow it out and do weird things. My first step after getting in from a haircut is to get in the shower and do my own thing to it...

Let us know what happens once it dries...since you mentioned that you washed it..

haha i was bored today so i went and cut my hair...

it is very short. and i normally have very long hair. but since my hair is very thin and not volumous i needed a change. i cut ti up to my shoulders and I HATE IT NOW

it ***** i wanted a change but now i regret cutting my hair that short cause i never have short hair.

But i am sure you look wonderful heather. and dont be too upset it grows out and that is what i keep telling myself....

I feel like a bad haircut has to happen to each of us once in our lifetime! I have naturally curly hair that is VERY thick and I got it cut recently...The girl cut it so short and then blew it out...I came home and my roommate and FH thought I was wearing a wig...It was horrific but it grew out and eventually looked good....I also did go back the next day and had her do the best she could to fix it (and then never had my hair done by her again!)

AWww I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!! I wanted bangs so I got them cut and she is usually great and she cut them soooo short and choppy and they were awful I looked like a fool lol. They still aren't good yet I was soooo mad. NEXT time I am going to specify what I WANT lol. To make matters worse also this preg has made my nose UGLY soo I pretty much look horrific right now lol. THANX god I am not getting married while pregnant lol.

I got a cut like the one you described before. I think it happens when they cut the layers too deeply. I wore my hair in a ponytail with the choppy layers pinned back with a barrette for about a month. I didn't cut it again for about 6 months and even then, the next hairstylist knew I had just grown out a bad haircut.
