Very Frustrated

Okay im venting a little. I recently graduated in May with my B.S in biology and have been searching for a new job since April!! This economy is REALLY the WORST...I feel like I really graduated at the worst time. We booked our RH and FH has been the only one paying on it and I feel horrrible. Even though FH is like 'Babe don't worry about it..' I can't help but to worry about it when its suppose to be US paying for the wedding. I'm so MAD!!!

Imagine going on 10 interviews...I have had jobs that offer $11 an hour, weekends, holidays, and mandatory O.T for $11 an hour!!!! It's the WORST!!!
I feel bad because I don't want my FH to feel overwhelmed Okay I think im finished...thanks for listening to my vent.,,,

I'm sorry you aren't having any luck finding a job. Sounds like your FH is really supportive so that's great!

Good luck!!!

Re: Very Frustrated

Times are hard for sure. I graduated with my master's in May, but I started the job hunt in February. I didn't get a full-time job until August. It took 6 months to finally get something and in the meantime I got laid off from my part-time job and spent almost 3 months feeling completely useless. It's the worst feeling in the world, but you just have to try to stay positive. You are not alone! Something great will turn up for you, you just have to keep on trucking. Good luck!

I'm so sorry

But at least you have a very supportive FH & don't worry something will definetly come up..

I was unemployed for 9 months and I finally got something, it's not the best, but it's better than nothing!

Re: Very Frustrated

Finding your first job after getting your degree can be very frustrating. My recommendation is to take a job even if it is low paying and get some work experience. Try looking for jobs as a lab tech. The pay is usually a little better. Remember you just finished college and you need to get your foot in the door. $11/hour is better then 0. When I graduated with my BA the economy was strong but I was a recent grad with little work experience and took a job that paid less then I had hoped but I learned a lot and eventually got a raise.
