Very Large Weddings

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the board and I love it!!! I think it is wonderful how everyone helps each other out with there big day. I recently got engaged and we are currently in the market for a hall. Problem is we would like to have a huge wedding for 400+people. Can anyone recommend places that can accomadate these people? Also at reasonable prices like 50-70pp. Any feedback would be great. Also for how long do the halls let you have the hall till?

Welcome to the boards!

WOW 400 people is a lot!

I'm pretty sure a bride recently had her wedding at the Huntington Townhouse and had over 300. And I think they have reasonable prices!

I am getting married at Belmont Racetrack - very reasonable - within your price range. It fits 400 people for dinner- 600 I think for cocktails...

Leonard's of Great Neck can do it, and it is within your price range.. we almost booked there, but FH had one of his proms there!

most places will give you a 5 hour package.. first hour cocktail hour with apps...
Stewart Tomas Manor in farmingdale.. they were in that price range... and hold up to about 400 people...

Welcome!! I am having my wedding at Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale. Their grand room is huge and can hold over 400 people. So far, I am the oly one on here using them and they are great, very accomodating and reasonable. And they are in the price range you listed. FM me if you want anymore info. Congratulations!!!

crest hollow definitely can. i went to a wedding there with well over 400 guests.

I went to a wedding with 400+ at The Marriott Hotel. It was very nice and from what I hear affordable.

Thank you guys so much for all your help. I'm trying to find a place that is reasonable in prices since i'm inviting more than 400 people. I will def. try those places mentioned here.

I am having my reception at the Floral Terrace in Floral Park. It is absolutely gorgeous. It has 4 floors - you get the whole place - one wedding at a time. The cocktail floor is huge, and the ballroom seats up to 500. Definitely check it out.

Chateau Briand has the Leonardo Davinci(sp?) room which holds up to 600 , definitely wil fit your 400

I am getting married at the Inn at East Wind and they can hold up to 1200 people in the new Inn. Their prices are reasonable for a Saturday Afternoon. Especialy in an off month like January Febuary their prices run about $75 a head for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I am getting married in November which is an off month but still popluar so the prices are not as low as Jan, Feb. But the East Wind is amazing and so is the food. I found that they are very flexible in price. If you can guarentee more they will charge you less per person.
