I just feel like cancelling the whole wedding and just doing city hall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just feel like I have NO support from anyone. I mean I don't hear from anyone not even people in my wedding party so then what's the point??? I mean I don't need people there smiling and taking pics meanwhile they haven't even be there to be by my side. Am I wrong for feeling like this???

Aw, sorry to hear that Did something specific happen or is it just the overall planning? Just take a breather maybe for a few weeks to relax and find your balance again!

ETA - just read your reply; sorry to hear they aren't being supportive. Maybe order a pizza and have them over to just vent and share your feelings. People get really engulfed in their own lives and I think we (the 2012ers) probably feel this the most as our weddings are far off and not really on our friends radars at this point! Feel better, remember they all do really love you even if they aren't showing it!!!

Dont feel like that! It's still very early in the process. If you feel like this now imagine later on. Perhaps nobody askes you anything wedding related b/c they might think it's too early or they are waiting for you to say something??

Thats why we are here for .. for you to share your ideas with us and get support from us if family or friends don't show it.

I think its the whole planning thing that has me overwhelmed. I have too many opinions and no help. I'm just tired of it. Half of the people invited to the wedding I don't even see on a regular basis so then what's the point.... ???? I think I need to take a break from it all

I also have no support at least from my family except my aunt and grandma and i have though like you a million times over the past couple of months but i keep thinking it will be worth it in the end because you have a lot of memories that no one can take away. Just keep your head up and don't get overwhelmed it will be all worth it after all the money is spent and cake has been cut. It will be a day to remember.

Take a deep breathe..... Remember you have complete control over who you invite. Don't invite someone just because you want to have a lot of people at your wedding.

Unfortunately people tend to get wrapped up in their own things and forget that you need help to. Maybe send an email to your bridal party and see if they can all come over for pizza or something. Tell them that you need some help.

Don't get discouraged! I know it's frustrating when you do things on your own, but look at the bright side, at least you can do whatever you want without any negativity from anyone!! Like it was mentioned before, our weddings are not for a while, and I think when it gets closer to your date, the people that are close to you will definitely come around and be supportive. Until then, keep posting here, there are so many wonderful girls here who will give you advice/opinions/suggestions on anything you want!

My engagement was 17 months and i was definitely hurt that my friends or wedding party didn't seem too excited or helpful.

trust me, it's because it IS far away! Once 2011 hit, people were SO excited and supportive! They have stepped up and everyone is getting very excited!

It's hard for other people to be excited for like morethan a YEAR straight, KWIM? Even if it is for a loved one
