We have two cats. One cat hardly ever speaks. Last night I thought they were fighting again because I kept hearing noises and running around.I went to check on them and they were no where near each other. The mute cat was by himself chatting away and running up and down the hallway like a maniac.

Re: Very strange.
LOL that is strange.
I swore my ferret was having a night mare of getting chased by a tiger or something because last night he was twitching, shaking and making little squeeks. I never saw him do something like that. I had to wake him up. He woke up and was perfectly fine. Yawning and giving me that 'why did you wake me up look'
pets are so funny

Re: Very strange.
Sue how old is your cat?
Xena was so quiet and then at the age of 5 she started meowing all the time!! I mean all the time!!! I feel like a mother of a toddler with the WHY question stage!!!

Re: Very strange.
The cat is 3 years old. He only speaks when he has to go in the car. We took him to the vet and he wouldn't shut up. We hardly ever hear him speak.

OMG the car is the worst!! Everytime I put Z in the car it is the most heart-breaking car. I am in tear by the time we get to where we have to! It sounds like she is whining why??? Like I am hurting her

Re: Very strange.
I think they hate the car b/c they get taken to the vet in the car.
When my sister first got her cat we took him out to the hamptons every week in the car. He was fine - he'd walk around, sit on our laps or shoulder, etc. Then she took him to get fixed and it was all over. Its a battle to get him in the car, harder to get him out, he screams the whole time he is in the car and usually uses the floor behind her seat as the litter box

Re: Very strange.
She won't use a carrier. He jumps around so much he topples it over in the car. Between the crying and the banging my sister freaks out too. She usually has someone take her to the vet - he'll be ok if she holds him on her lap.
ETS...Swags - I hope Xena is feeling better soon

Re: Very strange.
Our one cat threw up 3 times yesterday because he eats too fast and too much. He's such a pig!

Re: Very strange.
DH swears our cat over eats to make herself throw up (usually on the carpet) on purpose to pis$ him off.

Re: Very strange.
Ugh - Sue, my cats throw up all the time from overeating/eating to fast. But they like to do it when we're not home, so we come home to little treats to clean up....
And to top it off, we have all hard wood floors now (no area rugs yet), but of course MY cat manages to vomit on the door mat (carpet)!!!!!!!!

Re: Very strange.
Sometimes I am home and I hear him. I want to grab him quick and put him on the floor not the rug.I am always too late.

Re: Very strange.
Xena has asthma We were actually told last August that she had cancer and only had a few weeks to live. Here we are almost a year later and she is alive and kicking but now has asthma attacks. Well at least now I know what they are but every time she vomits a lot I am reminded of that day

Re: Very strange.
thats so funny.......maybe she saw a ghost!
One of my cats is very vocal but now he is more than ever, to the point where FH and I feel like we have a toddler needed to be held and cuddled....he meows constantly like a broken record and cuddles all the time.

Re: Very strange.
Swags: How did you find out your cat had asthma? We think ours might too. They sound like they are always snoring and one of them purrs like Gizmo.
