Very supersticous

Ok so my mom has this necklace that has been in tha fam for a long time. I believe it was my great great grandmothers, but i refuse to wear it because my mother and sister both wore it on their wedding days and ended up divorced. i know it sounds silly but I refuse to wear it bc of this reason.

I would feel the same way about that necklace. Start your own tradition with your own necklace.

I can totally understand that...do what makes you feel comfortable. I don't really believe you are destined for that road if you wear it, but you also don't want it to be even a second thought on your big day!

There were so many things I did and didn't do on my wedding because of superstitions...if you don't want to wear it...don't wear it!!! It's your wedding...you need to be comfortable!

I wouldn't let it bother me...

My parents were divorced when I was 5 and I still incorporated her wedding dress into my wedding (we had it made into a vest that DH wore)

Though I will say, I did wear my Gma's earings (they were married 60 years).. had my bouquet wrapped in my Gram's wedding dress fabric (married 50 years) and my Stepmom pinned her wedding ring on the inside of my skirt (married 31 years)..

So maybe I tipped the scales a bit..

I understand how you feel, but I highly doubt that their marriages had a falling out because of a necklace. Like the other ladies are sayin, do what makes you feel comfortable. I think its cute to have something to wear that day that has been in the fam for a long time. Do what you feel is best for you though.
