veryy long!! dress problems!

ok so let me know if im a bridezilla please!! you dont have to lie i can take it lol

i have only been to davids bridal as of right now to go dress shopping...i have another apt today at 630 to go somewhere else..and to me i feel like i am kinda having a problem with the lady i am dealing with at davids bridal..now i know im a pain in the a$$ to deal with when i comes to dress shopping but i figured i would make it really really easy for her...so everytime i went in there i had a list...the list had pictures of the dresses along with the style numbers on it..all she needed to do was go grab the dresses on my list...now i know it was a lot i had 12 dresses on my little list that i wanted to try on but i thought it was very simple..grab the dresses in my size and let me start trying them on...nope wrong...both times i went there i brought my little list (a big reason a brought it was bc i want to keep track of the ones i like and the ones i dont like for myself) she only brought me like 2 dresses that i wanted to try on...the first time i went she asked me what i was looking for and i told her that i wasnt sure what style i wanted exactly..i didnt know if wanted the pick up or just a straight a line...so she told me that we were gunna start with the pick ups...so as i was trying them on i wasnt a fan...i think personally im to thick of a person to be wearing sumthing so big and gigantic like that so i told her that i wanted her to bring me a dress that didnt have so much going on....she didnt do it! so i told my fam i wanted to leave bc i just started to get annoyed...she was bringing me over the dresses that SHE wanted me to try on...so yesterday when i went back i had my little list again and i told her i didnt want to try on any pick ups i didnt think they looked right on me...so again i hand her my list and she only brings me 3 dresses off my list!!! then she starts bringing the dresses that i tried on the first time over again!!! i told her that i didnt like them the first time and i didnt want to try them on again...so shes talking to me and telling me that all the dresses she brought over are the ones she put in her notes as the ones i liked!!!!

i seriously got so pissed off and i told my sister that i wanted to leave bc 1. she obviously doesnt know how to take notes correctly and how is that gunna be when i actually start ordering dresses if she cant even right the correct one down 2 she doesnt bring me any of the dresses that i want to try on over to me 3 everytime i tried on a dress that i like that wasnt this big huge dress she was putting me down telling me that it didnt look like i brides dress and that i should have something that had a little more on it and not so plain bc i blended in to much with my bridesmaids...i mean i understand that shes trying to help me but seriously its my decision so dont put me down when im trying sumthing on that i like and dont tell me what i have to try on bc its something that you like...she doesnt know me or my style so i dnt know how shes gunna bring over different dresses that i didnt even pick out for me to try on!!
i got so upset yesterday i told my sister i wanted to leave again bc shes not bringing me the ones i want to try on....am i wrong for leaving....im at the point where i dnt even want to go backto that davids bridal anymore bc i dnt want to deal with her...i just want to go sumwhere thats gunna bring me the dresses that I WANT to try on!!

do you think its ok to go to a different davids bridal and go work with sumone bc i really dont want to work with her anymore..i leave there upset everytime bc i dnt get a chance to try on the dresses i really want to try on!

why not, if you don't like who you worked with i would definitely go somewhere else....its not your fault that store is losing business...they should be more courtesy and professional.

If you dont like who you worked with definately try another davids bridal (if thats where you want to look) or another bridal salon...Also if you go back to the same davids bridal tell them you want a different bridal consultant and if they wont do it, walk out and dont ever look back.

I would absolutely go to a different store. You need to be comfortable with your bridal consultant. I'm not getting my gown at David's, but I found my gown at one store and am buying it from another. I didn't like the attitude of the people from the store where I tried the gown on. So I went elsewhere.

I would NEVER give any business (and certainly not wedding business) to people I don't feel comfortable with.

I agree with everyone else... Don't stay there and give business to rude and unhelpful people. Ask for a different consultant at the DB that you have been going to, or go to another one. So sorry

I had the exact same situation - the people at the store I found my gown at were sooooo rude, and not even to me but I witnessed the rudeness towards other people. And it just made me think - I have to deal with these people for a long time, for something so important... they could be like this to me at some point. Definitely do not get your dress from people you aren't satisfied with. There are other locations - definitely check them out.

It sounds like you should def go elsewhere! You need someone who is going to help you, this is a very important shopping experience!

The answer is yes.

She is NOT listening to you. You someone who WILL listen to you.

DONT FEEL BAD about hurting her feelings. Look at what she is doing to YOU!!!!!!

You can get another consultant and not feel bad about it.

definitely don't work with her if you're not comfortable! either ask for another consultant or go to another shop. that's the beauty about david's - they have multiple locations!

I wouldn't work with someone I feel uncomfortable with and especially for something so important as your dress. The whole dress experience should be exciting, so if I were you I'd go to a different location of speak with the manager and request a different consultant.

If you were at Westbury, try Lake Grove. Westbury destroyed my gown but Lake Grove seems to be pretty nice, my bms are getting their dresses from there despite my better judgement!

i havent heard a single good thing about davids bridal. i went in there 1 day jsut to see what it was about. i walked in and out. i just got a baddd vibe. no1 spoke to me or looked at me, i just knew it wasnt the place to look.

maybe u can ask some girls onthis board if they got great service froma particular sales lady?

if u want to do ur own thing for bridesmaids dresses,go to alexandra boutqiue in forest hills. no1 hassles u. the owner is super nice.

I would go somewhere else. I felt uncomfortable with my bridal consultant at DB. She basically said I'm too fat to wear the dresses I loved so after the tears I shed...I went elsewhere
